Moma is a hobo and suffers from depression. Ema is a hobo and had been treated for alcoholism. Moma lives in the abandoned factory premises. Ema lives in the shaft. Moma liked Ema at first sight. Ema liked Moma at second sight. Long time ago Ema lost a baby and began to drink. Or first she started drinking then lost the baby. It is no longer important. It is important that Moma helped her get over it.

“Homeless people have always interested me. I spent a lot of time following them, hanging out with them, "spying" on them, and the initial inspiration for the film was when I met the 'two of them' - it was the most moving moment which decided that I would write this story. I have never before seen two homeless people in love as a "homeless couple". They are almost always alone, isolated from others. This woman and this man hadn't simulated marriage, they honestly lived their great, true love.
The fact that they do not bathe, they sleep in the shaft, have nothing to eat and digging through containers, does not mean that their relationship is not a true love. On the contrary. It is perhaps more real, more accurate and more emotional than many marriages where two people live together paying their mortgages but in fact they behave as if running a café together – without emotions – emotions are gone, vanished.”
