International Film Festival Rotterdam - special screenings at CINEMA HOUSE * Sofia!

On 28 and 29 January 2017 the Cinema House will join over 45 cinemas around the world in the IFFR Live streaming of several International Film Festival Rotterdam's screenings.

The Cinema House is the only Bulgarian theater, invited to participate in the second edition of IFFR Live - International Film Festival Rotterdam's initiative, through which all cinema buffs in Sofia will have the opportunity to watch European premiere titles simultaneously with several thousand audience in Rotterdam and the world - the spirit of the festival will be transferred to us all!

Viewers of the Cinema House will be able to choose from four films including the winner of the Best Director award in competition program "Horizons" of the Venice Film Festival 2016, "Home".

After each screening, the audience can participate in the discussion, broadcasting live from Rotterdam - the only condition is to have online access to the live stream of the event from the site of the festival, IFFR.com/Live

In 2016 Cinema House was the first and only Bulgarian art cinema included in the overall experience IFFR Live - simultaneous screenings of the International Film Festival Rotterdam, which make it the largest live stream event in the European film industry.

Created in 1972 by Hubert Balsan as a forum for alternative cinema, the International Film Festival Rotterdam is one of the leading European cinema events, asserting its status as the discoverer of talents. Significant participation in the festival of Bulgarian side - over the past few years "Victoria" by Maya Vitkova and "Lesson" by Kristina Grozeva and Peter Valchanov were among the titles included in the official selection of the festival, and one of the contenders for the prestigious "Hivos Tiger Award" in year 2017 is Konstantin Bojanov's latest film "Light Thereafter".
